05/13 Update
Dear Friends,
I've written many love letters to you since we've met, and this one is to share a look at what's ahead this week, and tell you how grateful we are for your support.
Some of you may be aware that Friday’s Board of Trustees communication mentioned, "The incoming 2025-2026 Board will include three new Trustees nominated by the Coalition." I am one of those nominees, and I have accepted the nomination. The Board of Trustees will consider both my nomination and the nominations of two other Coalition members this evening at their May monthly meeting.
I'm delighted to introduce my fellow nominees to you: Jamie England and Lauren Pruitt. They are both current parents of students at SSFS, and vital members of our Coalition with critical and distinct roles that have made the reversal possible. I feel truly honored to be in such great company. Jamie and I have attached letters for you to get to know us better, and Lauren’s will be forthcoming (things move quickly, and you don’t always have a letter to a Coalition in your back pocket 😅 but we wanted to share this news in anticipation of the meeting tonight).
It’s cliche, but it’s impossible to describe what we have done together and the support you have given those of us who have tirelessly laid this groundwork for a month. We are infinitely grateful. Even during moments of uncertainty, I believed everything would work out for the School and its community, and I still do. I belong here, and I believe you do, too, because the truth is, we all do.
Housekeeping— lots here to digest!

I will be at the 9 AM Sandy Spring Meeting this Sunday and would be happy to meet you there, if you'd like to chat.
